Just for Today...Pray

One of the best attributes of this

journey and walk with Christ,

is the emphasis and challenge

or call to action

is

JUST FOR TODAY

I belive I have become so overwhelmed

with all the many

items needed to bring me closer to

Christ...

that I have become paralyzed.

I can tackle

JUST FOR TODAY

I can read a few scriptural passages

and ponder upon those words.

I can PRAY over suggested phrases

that will interrupt the repetitious words

of my infrequent prayers.

PRAY

* "for enlightenment in areas I need to make 

improvements"

* "for the desire to make those improvements"

POINTS to REMEMBER

* "process of becoming a disciple has to do with learning--

the biggest part of learning is making mistakes."

* "this is not a journey for perfect people--

it is for those seeking a path to be perfected

THROUGH

CHRIST"

Do not concern yourself 
with ways you have missed the mark
 in days gone by...
Do not fret over the lengthy list
of tomorrow's 
accomplishments...
"Just FOCUS on TODAYand the Savior will meet you there."

How would He feel?

What would He think?

What would He do?

The FIRST STEP

He May Know to Succor His People

My sister shared the following with me:

Here is the quote from Elder Holland,

 "teaching about the word SUCCOR,

Elder Jeffrey R. Holland said,

 “SUCCOR is used often in the scriptures

 to describe 

Christ’s care for 

and attention to us. 

 It means literally ‘to run to.'

What a magnificent way to describe

 the Savior’s urgent effort in our behalf. 

 Even as he calls us to come to him 

and follow him, 

He is unfailingly running to help us”

 in reference to Alma 7:12. 

 I added,

 “I love knowing that not only

 is He reaching out to me always

 (His hand is stretched out still), 

He is running to me!  

I feel it!

 I wonder if any Artist

has portrayed the

Savior running to SUCCOR

 His people.

The Invitation

"Jesus lovingly beckons each one of us and then patiently waits with outstretched hands...for us

to accept His invitation to walk with Him." (RP)

I accept.

Make sure you begin each day, with prayer to invite

the influence of the Holy Ghost to guide you

as the Savior leads you by the hand.

"He yearns to walk each step with me."

Bring verses Send

"In the scriptures we learn that we are to BRING people to Christ, not SEND them..."

Have ye any that are afflicted in any manner? BRING them hither and I will heal them

(3 Nephi 17:7)

I am here.

Just Jesus

I need a place JUST for my thoughts on JESUS.

He has always captivated my heart and mind.

Then daily living, trial and challenge put Him at a distance.

Needless to say,

I miss Him.

I feel empty and at a loss.

For Christmas,

I received,

I am on a journey to seek, find and KNOW JESUS.
